Year in Review: 2018
The past year, we’ve seen federal and state government’s highest level of focus on bridging the digital divide in Indian Country. We call it a “perfect storm” for solving these problems once and for all and we anticipate 2019 to be a standout year for tribes taking control of their telecom, broadband & technology futures.

Until recently, wireless infrastructure has had a negative connotation of being inferior to fiber infrastructure.  Not only has this technology continued to improve through innovation, now the federal communications commission has validated this point by awarding approximately 65% of a $1.9 billion of the Connect America Funding, Phase II this past October.  Americans can now get high-speed of 25/3 and higher on fixed wireless networks and it will cost a fraction of what fiber would.  We believe an ecosystem of technologies is necessary for an efficient and sustainable network deployment including copper, wireless and fiber to accomplish the ultimate goal.

In 2018 our vision aligned with the technology giant, Microsoft who committed to collaborating with companies like Native Network to get high-speed access to 2 million (of the 24 million) Americans in the next two years.  Through the Airband Partnership with Microsoft, Native Network plans to deploy at least 3 major broadband projects in 2019 on tribal lands or Reservations in Washington and Montana focusing on un and underserved areas.

We continue to encourage our tribal partners to control their destiny in the telecom and broadband arena by becoming their own telecom and/or ISP companies or switching services to a provider that is committed to Indian Country. We at Native Network can make that a reality.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SERVING YOU IN 2019, HERE WE GO!!
